Marvin Manzanero

The exposure of healthcare workers continues to be a concern for the Ministry of Health, notwithstanding efforts being made to safeguard their wellbeing on the frontlines of the fight against COVID-19.  Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero reiterates the commitment made by Chief Executive Officer Doctor George Gough on August twenty-eighth.

Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services

“Earlier in the week I had highlighted the total number of persons and you see people from different sectors, it‘s administration, lab personnel, pharmacy, physicians, nurses, healthcare workers who work in and people who do the cleaning component they are classified as long as you work in the health system.  I can indicate and this is not casting blame on anybody but I think it‘s just so that we can understand and appreciate the vast amount of healthcare workers that have become infected has not been linked to the line of duty but it‘s rather what we go about doing in our lives outside of the healthcare setting.  He is one of two confirmed cases that are currently intubated at the Karl Heusner. I don’t have any note of any other person being intubated at Karl Heusner now.”
