P.U.P. Leader Queries Real State of Healthcare System

The Leader of the Opposition today issued a statement on the spike of cases of the coronavirus.  In the statement, John Briceño queries the real state of the healthcare system to deal with a second wave of the virus.  According to Briceño, every day of testing has yielded staggering numbers that are overwhelming the health system to the point of collapse.  He refers to the matter of contact tracing where persons who feel that they have been infected are asked to call in.  Briceño states that there are six ventilators at the K.H.M.H. and the training of many of our healthcare personnel to operate those ventilators is only now being conducted.  The Ministry of Health is scrambling to provide P.P.E.s to frontline health personnel, and there are never enough.  Briceño also notes that frontline persons have come forward to say how woefully inadequate facilities are to deal with the pandemic.
