Eastern Division Commander and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Alden Dawson; Region One Commander, Senior Superintendent Daniel Dawson and Commander of the Gang Suppression Unit, Assistant Superintendent Edlin Lorenzo were placed on leave immediately for a week.  While an investigation is still underway, ComPol Chester Williams, who has expressed his dissatisfaction with the actions of the officers, told News Five on Thursday that the men have all been suspended for sixty days.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“They have officially been placed on suspension. We got the suspension letters from the Services Commission on Monday and the officers have been served with the suspension for sixty days in the first instance, while we continue to look at the investigation. And then we see if there is sufficient evidence to charge and for what we will be proceeding before the Services Commission for.”
