Duck Run Border Jumper on the Run!

Jose David Perez

The authorities are still trying to track down the border jumper who escaped from the quarantine facility in the west.  Jose David Perez, a villager of Duck Run, escaped from mandatory quarantine.  He fled the Victor Galvez Stadium facility on Wednesday evening.  Today, Commissioner Chester Williams says that he has received information that there was negligence on the part of the B.D.F. soldiers who guard the facility.  There is an ongoing search for this escapee in the Cayo district.  Tonight, there are reports that a family member allegedly tried to bribe an officer guarding the centre. That allegation was put to the police today.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“Yes, the border jumper did escape from the Victor Galvez Stadium in San Ignacio and in a chat group yesterday I saw General Ortega clearly said that there was negligence on the part of the BDF who were minding the center and that actions were in motion to deal with the officers who may have put down their guard or negligent in allowing the border jumper to escape.”

“I know police don’t man, but there are details however that the mother may have approached the BDF Officer to offer five hundred dollars to aid in the escape of a border jumper; has police received this information and will that mother be charged?”

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“No, we haven’t received this information but yes it is an ongoing investigation and yes that too will be looked at since u provided that information.”
