Police Officers Not Allowed to Travel to San Pedro

Back to San Pedro….there is no community spread of the virus, but a number of persons are being tested.  As you heard, a female police officer from Corozal is hospitalized with COVID-19. Her history shows that she was in San Pedro for a court case and she had attended a church service.  Now, police officers are frontline in the fight against the virus and there is none to spare. Today, the Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams, issued a directive to all formations that with immediate effect, police officers will not be allowed to travel to the island.  Those stationed there, who are off-duty and not on the island, however, will be allowed to return. But other officers are not permitted to travel to San Pedro at this time.
