Prime Minister Dean Barrow

“When you look at the Quarantine Act it does actually set up some of the things that the authorities can do with people who refuse to follow the requirements which we are disseminating a widely as possible. So nobody will come here, no tourist will come here and say I don’t know. You ought to have known. The onus is on you. You are coming to our country in the midst of a pandemic. You are traveling anywhere in the world in the midst of a pandemic. Surely the onus is on you to find out what the travel requirements are for the particular country you want to visit. But in addition to that, all the hotels you want to book they let you know right away: look if you are going to come this is what will happen. That is why there are some people complaining but we made it clear. If you are not prepared to subject yourselves to the requirement that we are enshrining in law, don’t come.”
