Robbery on Bullet Tree Road; Police Search for 2 Men

Joseph Myvett

A pair of thieves, believed to be responsible for a series of robberies in the west, hit a supermarket once again on Friday night. Around seven-thirty as patrons went about their shopping at Twenty-Eight Supermarket on the Bullet Tree Road in San Ignacio, two gunmen wearing caps and face masks entered and robbed the owner and patrols of an undisclosed amount of cash. Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett says that they are looking for the main suspects who are known to police.

“They were reported to by the proprietor that whilst himself and other patrons were inside the business place, they were approached by two slim clear complexioned persons wearing black clothing who both wore caps and face masks and who both were armed with handguns, who demanded money and as a result an undisclosed amount of money was stolen. Police are conducting an investigation into this matter and are following several leads. At this point, we are looking for two named suspects, who we know, were operating in that area.”
