A Small Cache of Ammunition is Discovered Outside

Joseph Myvett

A hidden supply of ammunition, including a smoke grenade, was recovered by police during an operation outside of Teakettle Village over the weekend.  According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett, the magazines containing the live rounds were not found in the possession of anyone and as such were labeled as found property.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“Roaring Creek police officers, including all the different agencies, conducted an operation on the Young Gyal Road in Teakettle Village which led them to the discovery of three .223 weapons magazine, one .223 round of ammunition, one riot smoke grenade and one anti-riot, irritant grenade.  No one was found in the area so these items were collected and deposited as found property whilst the investigation continues.”

“Any information or intelligence as to what all of that was stockpiled for?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“No, not at this time.  We are trying to put together an investigation following several leads which I will not disclose here whilst the investigation is still ongoing.”
