An Elderly Man is Assaulted and Robbed in Jacintoville

There were two robberies reported over the weekend in the south; one included the assault and robbery of an elderly man in Jacintoville, on the Southern Highway in Toledo. Sixty-five-year-old American expat, Julian Fischer was inside his property in the village when a two masked men approached him. He was beaten and taken inside the house, where the men proceeded to ransack the place. He was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money. Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett says that they are following several leads on this attack of an elderly man.

“Shortly before five, whilst inside his yard, he was approached by two dark complexion male persons wearing masks, who demanded money and accosted him and took him inside his home where a search was conducted and he was relieved of an undisclosed amount of money in the process. He was injured where he suffered several bruises and his dog received a large chop wound in the process which was inflicted by one of those assailants. The matter is being investigated and police are following several leads at this time in relation to the investigation.”
