Said Musa on the Road to Recovery
Former Leader of the People’s United Party and current Fort George area representative, Said Musa is recovering. The veteran politician and two-time Prime Minister suffered a mild stroke in early May. The seventy-six-year-old was hospitalized for some days and his son, Henry Charles Usher, today assured the nation that Musa is on the road to a full recovery. But what about the future of the Fort George constituency, which the former PM has represented for years?
Henry Charles Usher, Chairman, P.U.P.
“He is getting stronger every day. He is doing much better. He is asking a lot about what is happening in Fort George division. SO I have to report on him on that. He is still recovering and it looks well and the doctors are expecting a full recovery.”
Hipolito Novelo
“Chairman, we understand that he is having issues with mobility. Do you foresee him playing a role in the next general elections?”
John Briceño, Leader of the Opposition
“I think I should answer that. I don’t think we want to put the chairman in that position. As I said all the time only the right honorable Said Musa can decide if he wants to run in the next elections or not.”
