Taiwan Donates 60K Surgical Masks to Belize

The Ministry of National Security today received sixty thousand surgical masks courtesy of the Taiwanese government.  The masks were presented to Minister of National Security Michael Peyrefitte by Ambassador of Taiwan to Belize Remus Li-Kuo Chen.  The donation is a result of a request from the government to provide surgical masks for frontline workers. Minister Peyrefitte says that the masks will be distributed among the Belize Defense Force, Belize Coast Guard, and the Belize Police Department.  This will assist the frontline security personnel to tackle the COVID-19 disease to keep the Belizean people safe. Taiwan is one the countries that is ahead of the coronavirus.
