Ministry of Works Employees Critically Injured in RTA

A road traffic mishap along the George Price Highway just outside of Mahogany Heights has left a pair of men, both employees of the Ministry of Works, critically injured.  Sometime shortly after one o’clock this afternoon, a pickup truck traveling towards Belmopan rounded the curve near miles thirty and thirty-one when the driver lost control of the vehicle.  The pickup careened off the road at high speed before landing in a ditch a few hundred feet away.  Both men were seriously injured and had to be extricated from the vehicle by passersby.
