National Curfew Remains in Place!

Michael Peyrefitte

Turning to the state of emergency…the national curfew remains in place tonight as the country relaxes some of the restrictions in place since April first.  And if you expect the five to eight curfew hours for adults to end very soon, Attorney General Michael Peyrefitte says this is very likely to go for another six weeks! Here is how he explains it:

Michael Peyrefitte, Minister of National Security

“The curfew remains in place. Eight o’clock tonight – put it this way – I can almost assure you that it is up to the national oversight committee not to me – but for the things we want to accomplish that from now up to the end of June the curfew will be in place. Eight in the night you have to be in your house until five in the morning, unless you are a permitted member under the national security apparatus or a healthcare worker. Eight o’clock the curfew begins and it doesn’t end until five in the morning the next day. The curfew is still on for the children. That goes from eight in the morning until six in the evening. It’s six in the evening for children and eight if you are an adult you have to be inside. That has not changed.”
