Corporal’s Resignation to be Rescinded, He Still Faces Disciplinary Action

Chester Williams

The officers involved have been identified as a corporal and two police constables.  Notwithstanding the tendering of his resignation a week or so ago, ComPol Williams will be withdrawing that notice of departure from the corporal in order to have him face internal discipline for his actions.  The other two men of lower rank are from Orange Walk District.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“From what we know so far, one of the individual is a corporal.  He has served this department, I think, from 2008 which will give him eleven years and he is supposed to be a mature individual.  May I say that he has also, about a week ago, tendered his resignation from the department.  That resignation has been accepted but I am going to rescind that resignation acceptance and then we are going to deal with him through our disciplinary process for this matter and then the outcome will determine if he resigns or if he is dismissed.”
