One Thousand Additional Masks for Police

According to ComPol Chester Williams, an additional one thousand reusable masks are being acquired through the assistance of a private businessman.

“The protection of our officers must always be at the forefront.  While we have sworn to perform the duties that we perform, we must still ensure that we do our best for our officers’ safety and it’s in that spirit that we continue to do our best to acquire the relevant P.P.E.s that our officers need to be able to protect themselves while being out there on the streets.  And we are very grateful to the Chinese Association for the very kind donation this morning of one thousand masks.  I have spoken to someone who is in the process of acquiring one thousand additional masks for us.  These ones are going to be the washable ones that are reusable and so once we get those, hopefully by tomorrow or early next week then those likewise would be distributed to the police officers out there.”
