Rafael Sansores is Accidentally Shot & Killed with Pellet Gun

Rafael Sansores

Police are investigating the shooting death of a resident of the Chula Vista area of Corozal Town. Rafael Sansores was at a close friend’s house in the White Cocal area and while playing with a pellet gun, it accidentally discharged. The pellet struck Sansores to the chest; he was rushed to the Corozal Community Hospital and then further transferred to the Northern Regional Hospital in Orange Walk, but succumbed while receiving treatment. While his friend has been detained by police, we are told that while being transported by the ambulance travelling to the hospital, the twenty-year-old said that it was an accident and that he didn’t want any charges against his friend. A News Five crew was in Corozal today and spoke with Sansores’ brother-in-law Arnel Neal.
