Still No Arrests for King’s Park Triple Murder

As we’ve said, the security measures put in place by the Ministry of National Security was triggered by the bloodbath in the Old Capital. Within less than forty-eight hours, seven persons were killed and nine others injured in as many as nine shooting incidents between Sunday night and Tuesday morning. The north side of Belize City, specifically the Caribbean Shores division, continues to mourn the deaths of one of their own in the most violent act of gun violence in recent times. Three persons; Philip Leslie, his girlfriend Shakira White and her four-year-old son Dominic Rhamdas were killed when a gunman came up to their room window on the lower flat of a house in King’s Park and opened fire. A fourth person, White’s two-year-old daughter, was also injured to the leg, but survived.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“On Monday morning the police learnt that a three-year-old child named Dasha Rhamdas was observed with injuries and was transported to the K.H.M.H. This is as a result of the said shooting on Sunday night. The other child, Dominic Rhamdas passed away on Monday night sometime around 6:30 p.m. whilst undergoing treatment.”
