More than $75,000 owed in contributions to the S.S.B.

There is a list in circulation from the Social Security Board naming at least forty-three businesses that are in arrears to the S.S.B. the thousands of dollars. The list contains those companies that owe more than five thousand dollars each but the period involved is not ascertained. When combined the forty-three businesses who have not paid contributions on behalf of their employees, owe over three quarters of a million dollars racking up a total of seven hundred and fifty-eight thousand, one hundred and eighty-eight hundred dollars in arrears. At least nine companies owe more than twenty thousand dollars each. The biggest amount cited is by the National Transport Service which owes S.S.B., one hundred and seventy thousand two hundred and seventy dollars. This followed by J and B’s Security Service which owes sixty-eight thousand four hundred and two dollars and M.S.G. Construction which has not paid sixty-four thousand five hundred and fifty two dollars in contributions.  The others owe between five thousand to nineteen thousand dollars. The S.S.B. is reaching out on the employers to pay up their arrears. Employees are left exposed when employers withhold their contributions and don’t pay it in to the S.S.B., which means that the employees won’t be able to get benefits.
