On Sunday, Belize Rural North Area Rep, Edmond ‘Clear the Land’ Castro predicted that John Saldivar would have defeated political opponent Patrick Faber handsomely to become the U.D.P.’s new party leader. The results of the leadership race weren’t too far from his prediction. Today, he was asked whether the United Democratic Party, in spite of the many scandals it is plagued with, stands a chance of winning the next general elections.
