Police Detain Robbers Who Jacked Henry’s Supermarket

On Wednesday afternoon, just after twelve-thirty, a pair of robbers walked into Henry’s Supermarket on College Road in Corozal Town and held up the proprietor at gunpoint. The men got away with some cash, but police quickly apprehended them. Authorities say that the suspects are from the area. The store’s surveillance camera captured the robbery. Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero gives us the details.

“Police responded to a robbery report at Henry’s Store on College Road, Corozal. Upon their arrival, they met a complainant who reported that two armed, masked men came to store and pointed firearms at him and stole an amount of cash. Thereafter, the male persons fled from the area and while fleeing from the area, they fired a shot while they were crossing the street. Quick police response led to the detention of two suspects in San Antonio Village and an amount of cash was found on one of the persons. Both persons are now in custody and investigation continues into this matter.”
