There is another shooting under investigation by the police. The victim of that incident was Brian Harris who was shot multiple times in mid-December in the Farmers Site area of Hattieville. He was found haemorrhaging by a resident in the village and taken to the hospital. For weeks, he was in and out of the K.H.M.H. and on Sunday he succumbed. News Five’s Duane Moody files the following report.

This was Brian Harris when News Five spoke with him four years ago, after he and his family were displaced by Hurricane Earl back in August of 2016. He had managed to secure their lives as water levels rose dangerously high.  But tonight, the Harris family is aggrieved at the death of Brian. Back on the night of December fifteenth, 2019, the thirty-seven-year-old was shot multiple times in Farmers Site area of Hattieville Village, but wasn’t discovered until the following day and was taken to the hospital. Since then, Brian has been in and out of the hospital; however, he succumbed on the evening January twenty-sixth, 2020 at the K.H.M.H.

“And he died as a result o the gunshot?”

Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero

“That will be determined by the post-mortem which is scheduled for sometime this week.”

“Had anyone been arrested for attempted murder in that case?”

Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero

“No one was arrested.”

News Five spoke with the family today who say that Brian had trouble breathing because one of his lungs had been punctured in the shooting. He also developed pressure ulcers which had to be treated. They say that he had no beef with anyone. In an interview with him several years ago, Brian identified himself as the head of his household.
