Faber Says No to Receiving Mason’s Money

William "Danny" Mason

And while he may not have been close to Lev Dermen, Deputy Prime Minister was asked once again about his involvement with convicted murderer William “Danny” Mason.  You will recall that upon defeating John Saldivar to become Deputy Party Leader of the U.D.P. several years ago, Faber visited Mason’s Intelco Hill residence where he had a victory party or congratulatory drinks with Mason.  But did he receive any campaign monies from the incarcerated businessman?

Patrick Faber, Deputy Prime Minister

“No, you keep on raising this topic and I will say this, that it is stirred by an intra-party, let me leave that alone.”

Patrick Faber

“But you’re prepared to…”

Patrick Faber

“I have categorically said to you, I have told this nation from the onset what my very limited exposure to Mr. Mason was.  I think everybody in the country knows that but I was in no way connected with him, he was never a financier.”

“But you went to his house to have a celebration party after…”

Patrick Faber

“And that is exactly what I said I declared so why are you pretending like I’m just hiding that or something.  I am saying to you sir, that I have, I have never received any campaign financing of any amount from Mr. Mason and I hope that that is the end of that.”
