Did Danny Mason Give Patrick Faber $250K?

Patrick Faber

Aside from the Lev Dermen sandal, there is the saga of the convicted murderer, William Danny Mason.  The Prime Minister was asked if there was evidence that Mason gave the Deputy Prime Minister Patrick Faber two hundred thousand dollars.  The allegation was brought up during a media interview with Shyne Barrow on Tuesday. The allegation stems from what a U.S. law enforcement officer testified in the Pastor Llewellyn Lucas murder case. According to the officer, Mason said that he gave Patrick Faber two hundred thousand dollars. When asked if he knew anything about it, PM Barrow was first hesitant but ultimately ended his remarks by saying that he asked Faber about it and is satisfied with the answer given.

“In an interview yesterday Shyne Barrow asserted that Danny Mason had paid Patrick Faber two hundred thousand dollars. Do you know anything of that?”

Prime Minister Dean Barrow

“I know that some….no I am not going to go there. I am not going to go there. I am not going to go there.”

Michael Peyrefitte, Attorney General

“He said that there was an allegation. He didn’t himself allege that that was paid. He said that he heard about that allegation. Shyne didn’t say that.”

Prime Minister Dean Barrow

“Well indeed remember that there was an argument in court about whether a stamen from a US embassy official should be submitted. In that statement he said that he had interviewed Mason while Mason was in custody and Mason told him certain things and the judge I think only allowed a portion of that statement. For what it is worth, he did claim that Mason had said certain things about Partick Faber. I spoke to Patrick about it and he said it is absolute nonsense and I completely believe him.”
