San Mateo Resident is Caught with Gun and Bullets

Two San Pedro Town residents are in trouble with the law tonight after they were caught in possession of drugs, as well as firearm and ammunition. On Saturday afternoon, a police patrol stopped and searched Justin Shamir Velasquez, a resident of the San Mateo area. Inside a carton box he carried were a gun and over twenty rounds of bullets. Velasquez has since been slapped with firearm offenses.

“At about 2:55 p.m., police were conducting patrol on Barrier Reef Drive, San Pedro when they observed a male person riding a bicycle who at the time was carrying a cartoon box. A search on the cartoon box led to the discovery of a point thirty-eight revolver and twenty-six live rounds of ammunition. As a result, police arrested and charged Justin Shamir Velasquez, twenty-one years old of San Mateo area for the charge of kept ammunition without a gun license and kept firearm without a gun license.”
