Keemo Charged for Deadly PG Attack

Akeem Trapp

Twenty-two-year-old Akeem Trapp, a resident of Flowers Bank, has been arrested and charged for the murder of Glenford Hines Jr. and the attempted murder of Albert Valentine which took place in Punta Gorda on Sunday night.  As we reported, Trapp was taken off a bus in the early hours of Monday morning by police officers near the Dump, as he attempted to return to Belize City following the deadly incident.  It is believed that Valentine, an alleged criminal figure in the south, was the intended target of the armed attack.  Hines was standing inside his family yard when Trapp allegedly turned his weapon on him and opened fire.  When the gunfire subsided, Hines was mortally injured and Valentine had been shot in the left lower back and right hand.  Trapp, viewers would recall, was recently acquitted of the murder of Ian Adolphus Junior which occurred in February 2015 on Gill Street in Belize City.
