Headless Body of Elito Puc is Found near Benque/Melchor Border

Elito Puc

There is another murder, a retired teacher went missing a week ago; this afternoon his decapitated body was found at a bushy area on this side of the border near Melchor. Elito Puc was from the village of Succotz and according to his family, the forty-two year old left home heading to Melchor on November twenty-eighth and never made it back home. This afternoon, police headed to the scene where the decomposing body was located within the property of businessman Jorge Espat in Barrio de Juda.   There were further signs of violence and it was shirtless but the tennis shoes and short pants were the same Puc was wearing when he left his house. Now, a head in a state of decomposition was found on Wednesday in a pool in Suchitan, Melchor, but the Puc family did not confirm it to be that of Puc. It is now strongly believed that it is that of the murder victim. Before the gruesome find, police said they were collaborating with Guatemalan authorities to locate Puc.

“Reference the missing persons from Benque Viejo, Succotz, Mister Puc, I have been in communication with the investigator who had shared additional information that yes they are in contact with their counterparts in Melchor and both of them are conducting searches within areas of information that they are receiving from the family and other areas that they have information and are checking these areas. I was informed that the family was in Melchor yesterday with the discovery of this human skull where they are saying that that is not the skull of their loved ones. So that person is still considered as a missing person at this time.”

As news time, the body is being transported back to Belize.
