Gospel reggae will headline Barefoot Festival

Story Picture
D-Revelation’s Barefoot Music Festival usually plays to a sold out audience… and with the arrival of internationally applauded reggae gospel group Christafari, this festival is expected to attract new found fans. Public relation’s officer for the band Paul Flowers says it’s a family affair.

Paul Flowers, P.R. Officer, D-Revelations

“What D-Rev is going to do is share the stage with the biggest international gospel group that Belize and this region is familiar with. The name of the group is Christafari. The group has been at this international level for as far as the late 1980′s. They’re a radical Caribbean gospel group.”

“Their name is Christafari because their lead singer Mark Moore, was a Rastafarian. He’s now a born again Christian and he has a calling to amalgamate that whole reggae/Rasta culture and bring it in line with what Christianity itself is.”

“The Barefoot that we’re used to is D-Revelation goes on stage last and a series of local groups would come first and just do a precursor. Well, this time D-Revelation will be the precursor and this big international group is going to come after that and just give one family bash.”

Ann-Marie Williams

“Where can tickets be bought and how much is it?”

Paul Flowers

“Tickets can be bought at Venus, most of the Venus outlets and members of the band. Adults are twenty dollars and five dollars for kids.”

D-Revelation’s Millenium Barefoot Music Festival featuring Christafari opens in Cayo at the Novelo’s Convention Centre on April 6th and moves to the Belize City Centre on the 7th.
