Preschool Students are Relocated to Zoe Ministries

Patrick Faber

In the absence of a valid license, both teachers were asked to refrain from administering lessons.  Also in question is the proprietorship of the building that houses the preschool.  According to the Collet area representative, until that issue is resolved the students will be relocated to nearby Zoe Ministries.

Patrick Faber, Minister of Education

“We simply said that if you don’t have a valid license to teach, you cannot teach.  You’ve been given ample enough opportunity for you to do this.  It is of concern to me because it is in my constituency.  The Ministry of Education in fact had a meeting with the parents yesterday where they met with the parents and the parents were all very cooperative.  We have now dealt with the matter by seeking a space right up the street around the lane at Zoe Ministries where Pastor King and his congregation have agreed, you know, there was once a preschool there so the facilities are already there.  It will take a bit of touching up but we will use that space for now.  And in the very same yard where the preschool is on Pine Street, you will know that there is another structure that is there.  That structure was gifted for use to the constituency actually.  You would remember when Faith Babb was area representative, it was built, in fact, for a daycare and the building has since not been used.  So it is the hope of the ministry that we will now seek to retrofit that building quickly and then it will become the new home of the preschool in that area.”
