Home Invasion Reported in Belize City

Police in Belize City are looking for one man believed to have broken into a home, held up three persons at knife-point, tied and robbed them. On Sunday night, forty-three-year-old Dorette Vernon was inside her house on Raccoon Street Extension along with forty-two-year-old Gloria Henry when an intruder dressed in full blue clothing and a rag covering his faced barged in. The intruder produced a knife and ordered the ladies to the ground and proceeded to tie their hands behind their backs. During the robbery, fifty-four-year-old Huborth Smith arrived and he too was held up and tied. ACP Joseph Myvett told reporters today that security cameras in the area are being reviewed with the hopes that it can assist the investigation.
