“When I found out about it I was pretty much excited but I was excited and thankful because I need to acknowledge that it’s not just my achievement.  It had the input of my parents, my family, my teachers and the administrative staff of EJC.  So overall I feel excited even though I know I worked hard for it.”

“I would want to think that you spent many sleepless nights studying and reviewing the notes that were given in the course of, you know, your high school and sixth form years.  What was that like and were you nervous preparing to sit the exams?”

Liyan Moralez

“Like with any exams you can’t be too confident so that was, I always feel a little nervous before sitting exams but after I put in the countless hours the nervousness is a little less because I know that I should be ready.  If I did everything right then the outcome should be okay.”

“And what has it been like for you transitioning to studying in Trinidad as opposed to being here in Belize where you have your family and friends and that support system around?”

Liyan Moralez

“For the most part, the lack of the support system, well at first it felt a little dramatic because you are use to having them there but overall the work remains basically the same.”
