Why Wasn’t Music Ambassador at Garifuna Collective Award Ceremony?
DPM Patrick Faber was also asked about Music Ambassador Shyne Barrow who was notably absent from the Garifuna Collective Award ceremony today. It is known that DPM Patrick Faber and the Mesopotamia standard bearer have not been seeing eye-to-eye; in fact, the prime minister’s son has gone on record to throw his support behind Belmopan area rep John Saldivar, for the upcoming leadership convention of the U.D.P. Here’s how Faber responded to question on Barrow’s absence from the event today.

“In your moment of greatest generosity, the man who backhandedly referred to you as not as ungenerous—I will be kind—is not here to see your generosity. Why is the music ambassador not here sir?”
Patrick Faber, Minister of Culture
“That’s a question you will have to ask him, sir.”

“But I would imagine this is a musical event, ambassadorial in scope. You noh invite the man sir?”
Patrick Faber
“Well I don’t know who was invited or not invited. But I am the Minister of Culture; so it doesn’t matter who is here and who is not here. I am here; I made the presentation. That’s where we are at.”
