Two Suspects Charged for the Murder of Bambino

Police have cracked a recent murder that occurred in Ladyville, Belize District. . Twenty-seven-year-old Jason Garcia and a teenage minor appeared before Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson this morning where they were both arraigned on a charge of murder.  Garcia, an automotive technician of a Ladyville address and the seventeen-year-old, a student at Gateway Youth Center, are accused of the stabbing death of Lee Lopez.  The incident occurred on Sunday night in Ladyville where Lopez, also known as Bambino, was chopped and stabbed to death near the entrance to his home on Heron Street.  This morning the duo appeared unrepresented.  The teenager was read the charge in the presence of his mother, an employee of the Belize City Council.  Both suspects have been remanded to custody at the Belize Central Prison’s Kolbe Foundation and Wagner’s Youth Facility, respectively.  According to investigators, the incident stemmed from an argument between the trio, all residents of Heron Street in Ladyville.
