Mayor Wagner Says Belize City Council Doing Financially Well
Mayor Bernard Wagner also spoke on the council’s financial operations. The Mayor says that the council is gradually emerging from the slow season and has been able to meet every debt and bill.

“What we have been doing is nothing short of miraculous. You don’t see Waste Control going on strike and throwing garbage in front of City Hall with this city council. We have been paying all our bills. We have been meeting salaries every single fifteen and the end of the month. We have people in the council who continue to try sabotage our operations but we have met all out obligations. We are at a slow part of the season. We are climbing out of it gradually. We are very near approaching the conclusion of our bond and as soon as that is finalized we will be at a very good footing financially.”
