Jamal Elijio’s Killers Remain at Large

Jamal Elijio

Police are tonight still investigating a shooting in Belize City last Thursday during which three men were injured, one of whom passed away on Sunday at the K.H.M.H.   It is reported that Justin Richards, Marquin Drury and Jamal Elijio were standing together on Santa Barbara Street when a vehicle drove up to them and an occupant fired multiple shots in their direction.  Elijio was mortally wounded and succumbed to his injury over the weekend.  While several persons have been detained in connection with the incident, an arrest is yet to be made.  According to Elijio’s aunt, she responded to the scene of the shooting instinctively.
