Land Consultations Scheduled for Port Loyola Residents

Phillip Willoughby

In Belize City, residents in the Port Loyola Constituency will be allowed to have their land woes addressed.  U.D.P. Standard Bearer for Port Loyola, Phillip Willoughby has arranged for a land consultation sessions for the seventeenth and eighteenth October at the Y.M.C.A. compound in Belize City.  Willoughby says the consultation will allow the constituents to speak with the Minister of Lands and his C.E.O. and have their land issues addressed in an expeditious manner.

“Some residents have made mentioned that connectivity is an issue for them and that is purely because of the land situation. So if we can interconnect all these concerns and connect them then the constituency is one step further in resolving these concerns. I can say since the consultations began and we have visiting the Lands Department a number of the concerns have been addressed and advice have been given to those persons and the Commissioner will be here so you can get a direct answer and direct time frame from the head of the department where these land matters are concern. Ultimately they fall on his desk and then he passes and advises the minister. Granted that the minister will be available that’s a plus for us.”
