There was a murder in the city over the weekend. Twenty-one-year-old Jebran Wagner, who lives on Majestic Alley, was fatally shot at a house party on Coney Drive. A party on Coney Drive in Belize City turned deadly on Saturday night. It was all fun with music and drinks until just before midnight when Jebran Wagner was shot and killed inside the fenced yard. A gunman approached, walked into the yard and opened fire on an unsuspecting Wagner; he died will receiving treatment at the K.H.M.H. Another person was shot to the foot.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“They were informed of a shooting incident. They visited the K.H.M.H. where they saw Jebran Wagner, twenty-one years being attended to. And also along with him was Richard Leslie who also had gunshot injuries. Wagner succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. What the police know so far is that both persons were at a social function on Coney Drive along with others, when they were approached by a male person who pulled out a handgun and fired several shots towards their direction, causing the aforementioned injuries.”

Jebran, better known as “Sucu,” was a twenty-one-year-old; originally from Dangriga, but had been living through Majestic Alley in Belize City. His brother, who is one year younger than him, got the distress call minutes after.
