A Frantic Search for Adamir Choc, Six Days Later

It has been six days since nineteen-year-old Adamir Choc was last seen by family and friends and a frantic search to locate the Belmopan resident is underway tonight in the areas surrounding the nation’s capital.  According to Marciano Choc, his niece set out on Friday evening with a friend of hers and reportedly ended up at an establishment where she was last seen leaving inside an unknown vehicle in the early hours of Saturday morning.  While the family is holding on to hope that Adamir may still be alive, the clock is ticking and chances of finding her in good health is quickly fading.

“It is the sixth of September, on Friday evening she went with her friend to drop something, but I think she didn’t have that in mind to go out.  But I guess the friends she has convinced her to go and that’s when she left and had gone to that location at E & L’s Sports Bar or somewhere in that area.”

“Now sir, we were told that the last time she was seen she was getting into some vehicle or something of that sort.”

“Well you see, that time is like three o’clock in the morning when that’s the last footage we had, that’s the latest that we have and she got into some type of vehicle but we can’t recall whether it’s a taxi, but it’s a small car.”

“What has your search effort been like in the wake of the last time you guys saw her and your efforts thereafter?”

Marciano Choc

“Sir, at this moment, that time when we had the little footage of her getting into that car, from there we, the tenth is a holiday and we found some other relatives and we formed a team and that’s when we started to search behind La Choza, Rivera, the Belmopan garbage dump and they call this area Intelco Hill and behind Lands Department and this area here.  So we are trying our best to comb the entire area surrounding Belmopan.”

“Is your search leading you to believe that she may still be alive or at this point you’re looking to try to recover a body?  What specifically are you looking for in terms of your search?”

Marciano Choc

“Well, we have high hopes.  We believe she’s alive, but if she’s not alive then it could have been shown something already because it’s six days right now, today.”
