ComPol Williams, “We are not afraid, no.”

Chester Williams

Three of the men who were shot are under heavy police guard at the K.H.M.H. where officers this morning were shown several of the exits. Interestingly, no locals were found at the scene. The drug plane is in good condition and authorities are preparing to have it relocated to the B.D.F. air wing at the P.G.I.A. The exact value of the cocaine has not been determined as yet. Commissioner Williams says that they received another report of a plane but says that it faded into Mexican airspace and did not land in Belize. This recent drug bust and the arrest of sixth drug traffickers is a huge win for the police department and today we asked Williams, what security measures have been taken to ensure the safety of the officers who were part of the operation.

Hipolito Novelo

“Sir what sort of security measures or protection is offered to police officers who participated in the operation because the possibility exist of a leak or mole within the department and you dealing with transnational crime, regional drug traffickers who you took their drugs and might seek revenge?”

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

“All the officers who partook in that operation were allowed to wear a mask. The only persons who had no mask were myself and Mr. Broaster. We are not afraid, no. We signed for this so that is how it goes.”
