Brandon Taylor is arrested in Mexico but convicted in Magistrate Court

Well-known criminal figure, Brandon Taylor, was arrested for attempting to cross into the U.S. But this morning he was convicted in abscentia on two criminal offenses of unlicensed kept firearm and ammunition.  The charges stem from an incident in 2017 when Taylor was reportedly seen walking into a yard, stooping down and placing a Taurus brand nine milimetre loaded with seventeen live rounds of ammunition next to a street. Taylor denied the allegations and since his trial began months ago, he did not show up for trial on two occasions including today.  At the ruling this morning, neither Taylor nor his attorney, Leeroy Banner showed up.  Magistrate Emmerson Banner found Taylor guilty of the two gun related offenses. Two police officers testified in the case against Taylor claiming they saw when Taylor put the gun near the street. After being found guilty this morning by Magistrate Banner, Taylor was lucky to be slapped with two fines instead of a prison term. He was fined three thousand five hundred dollars; the first fine to be paid by September thirtieth of this year, and the balance by October thirtieth, 2019 or in default, three years on each count. Taylor and Javan Clare also of Belize City were nabbed at the Mexican border and arrangements are being made to deport them back to the county. They are both in further trouble with the law as they are in violation of their Supreme Court bail and are expected to be brought before a judge as soon as they are brought back home.  Days after being busted on the firearm and ammunition offenses, Taylor was granted Supreme Court bail in the sum of eight thousand dollars which he met.  Clare has been charged for being a member of the George Street gang named Afghanistan Click. He was granted Supreme Court bail and was released.
