Same Officer Who Shot Vince Martinez Killed Allyson Major Jr.

Kent Martinez

On Mother’s Day, Vince Martinez was shot in the groin by an officer who responded to a call of a domestic issue at his home.  While a formal complaint was subsequently filed with the police department regarding the incident and the officer involved, Martinez was taken aback on Wednesday night when he saw that Corporal Kent Martinez, the officer who has been charged for the shooting death of Allyson Major Jr., is the same officer who shot him on May twelfth.  According to Martinez, the policeman should have been on interdiction pending the outcome of an internal inquiry into the shooting incident.

“I went on holiday and I came back and checked to find out what’s going on with the case.  I was informed that my case was in process, but so far last night when I was looking at the news, I saw this same Corporal Martinez on the news last night and that’s the cop that I know shot me on Mother’s Day which is two months ago.  I was so shocked to see him because I thought my stuff was in process and I thought that he was on interdiction, you know.  Fi somebody weh shot someone two months ago eena ih own house fu no reason at all, cyant even give me wahn charge sheet or nothing and deh out ya eena di street fi kill someone now, ah mean ih really, really mek no sense and ih look so bad pan di police force because I thought they said that new commissioner wahn do the proper thing within the police force.  But fi sih dis guy just shoot me two months ago and deh out on the street to kill someone, ah mean ih really, really uncalled for, you know, ih show that the system noh di work right.  Something wrong.”
