Fire Destroys House in Dangriga Leaving Family Homeless

A house in Dangriga was destroyed by fire early this morning. The fire broke out at a residence on the George Price Boulevard. Firefighters responded quickly but were unable to contain the blaze before it consumed the twenty-two by twenty-four feet wooden structure. House owner, Jason Cacho says that the fire began at around seven-thirty in the morning which is when he realized that smoke was permeating through one of the rear rooms. The family’s effort to salvage anything was fruitless.  According to reports, the fire was caused by the burning of garbage behind the house. The house and its contents were not insured. No one was injured.
