“The sustainable tourism project is one big initiative we know that is going to generate a lot of benefits not only to the business but also to the environment and the experiences that tourists have. We also focus on how successful the new format for the Belize Tourism Expo was. We saw that it much better received that what we did in 2017. So we are looking to keep this format for 2021. The quality of agents that we were able to bring into the  country has improve and the local suppliers are very pleased with the quality and being able to secure some packages for this year and 2020. Also we are looking to be sharing with members to be ready for the next edition of Destination Belize. The main one that we know is going to create immediate impact is that we are going to be bringing training opportunities with the Mexican institute. We are looking to start as early as August. We are looking to do in Cayo, Placencia and Orange Walk and we are going to carry on in 2020 as well.”

B.T.I.A. is comprised of more than four hundred members countrywide.
