Still No Arrests in Murder of Belize City Landlord, Errol Crown

Errol Crown

The murder of fifty-seven-year-old Errol Crown, a resident of Neal Pen Road, remains an open investigation as police are still trying to determine his cause of death and who may have committed the senseless act.  Regrettably, Crown’s family shares the same sense of cynicism that most families have come to accept following the loss of a loved one.  They believe that the latest homicide in Belize City will also go unsolved and that the death of the landlord will be in vein.  On Monday, News Five spoke with Joel ‘Dara’ Robinson, the brother-in-law of the deceased, and he shared the family’s sentiment.  In defense of the Belize Police Department, Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo responded to concerns raised by Crown’s family.

“As we have been saying on several occasions that we put our utmost best whenever we deal with any crime, it doesn’t matter who it is.  We can guarantee the public that we are out there doing our best to find out who are the persons behind this.  Yes, sometimes we are able to solve and sometimes we are not able to solve.  This is depending on the availability of witnesses.  We believe it happened sometime after midnight, as we have received certain information about some argument and a commotion at Raccoon Street Extension, but unfortunately the body was found on Saturday morning at Neal Pen Road Extension.”
