Stabbed over a Cigarette, Abraham Leslie in Critical Condition

Alejandro Cowo

Abraham Leslie remains in a critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after he was stabbed on Monday afternoon. Just before three p.m., Ladyville police were called out to a mechanic shop between miles nine and ten on the Philip Goldson Highway to find that the thirty-one-year-old had been stabbed multiple times. Despite going through emergency surgery, Leslie is fighting for his life. Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo says that the attempted murder was triggered by an argument over a cigarette.

“He was immediately taken to the K.H.M.H where he was admitted in a critical condition. He underwent surgery and is still listed in a critical condition at this moment. What police gathered so far is that Mister Leslie was at the mechanic shop when another male person came in and they had an argument. As a result of that, the male person picked up from a toolbox what apparently was a knife and inflicted stab wounds to Mister Leslie, causing the injuries to him.”

“Sir, what was the nature of that argument?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo.

“What we understand is that they were disputing about a cigarette smoke that the victim did not want to share with the accused.”
