Is a Non-Fatal Shooting a Warning to Ex-Cop in Ladyville?

Alejandro Cowo

One last thing from the police… investigators are looking into a shooting incident that happened in Ladyville. Shortly before ten o’clock on Sunday night, someone fired several shots at a residence in the Hollywood area. Police say the owner of the house, retired police officer Ezart Anthony and his family were inside at the time of the shooting. ASP Alejandro Cowo says that fortunately no-one was injured and at this time they don’t have a motive for this shooting.

“Ladyville Police responded to shots being fired in the Hollywood area. As a result, they visited the resident of fifty-seven-year-old Ezart Anthony of that address, where they observed the house with several bullet hole damages and some of the kitchen utensils are also damaged inside of the kitchen. What police gathered so far is that Mr. Anthony was inside his house along with his family members when he heard three gun shots and upon making inspections he realized the house had gunshot damages to the wall and to the kitchen utensils.”

“Is there anyone in the home who could have been targeted?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“No. We don’t know who could have been the possible target. We only know that only he and his family members were inside the residence at the time.”

“He is a former police officer – is there any indication if he had been in conflict with someone or if there is a conflict in the area?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“No, we don’t believe so but we are still looking at different information that we are getting at this moment.”
