Mother and Daughter Robbed During Home Invasion in Georgeville

A mother and daughter were attacked inside their home in Georgeville sometime after midnight on Wednesday by a pair of thieves.  Ana Myvett was awakened by two masked intruders who gained entry through the rear of the building.  One of the men reportedly placed an object believed to be a firearm to her head and rifled through her belongings, relieving the forty-two-year-old of several personal items, including a cell phone.  Assistant Commissioner of Police Joseph Myvett tells us more.

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“This morning, Ana Myvett, forty-two-years-old of Georgeville Village, reported to police that sometime shortly after one a.m., this morning whilst inside her home sleeping, she was awakened by a male person who placed an object to her head which she believed was a gun.  At the time the person was wearing a white cloth covering his face.  Herself and her daughter were the only persons at home and during the process she was robbed of her cell phone and other belongings before those persons made good their escape.  There were apparently two assailants that had entered the home.  So far, the scene was processed and police are seeking several persons in relation to this investigation.”

“Are those suspects from the village?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“At this point in time we do not know.”

“How did they gain entry sir?”

ACP Joseph Myvett

“By entering through the rear door of the building, we believe.”
