Kendale Greene is Charged for Aggravated Assault

Kendale Greene

A twenty-five-year-old man, Kendale Greene, has been remanded to prison after being accused of shooting Ronald Michael and two others on Sunday morning. Greene was arraigned this afternoon on four indictable offenses. He was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm upon Michael’s common-law-wife Allane Usher and Christopher Hyde. He was additionally charged with one count of use of deadly means of harm upon Hyde and one count of wounding upon Ronald Michael. Greene was unrepresented; no plea was taken from him and was denied bail due to the nature of the offenses. He was subsequently remanded to prison until his next court hearing on June twenty-fourth. Police are accusing Greene of having shot and injured Ronald Michael, a well-known figure to police and the court, on Sunday. Michael told police that he, his common-law-wife and Christopher Hyde came under fire as they were in their vehicle at the intersection of Calle Al Mar and Baymen Avenue in Belize City. He was hit once in his arm and Hyde was also injured. Usher escaped injury. The gunman reportedly came out of a bushy lot. Greene is no stranger to police. Back in December 2010, he was accused of the murder of Francis Chukwu, a Nigerian taxi driver who was shot in the head while he worked late on the night of December 26th that year. Greene later walked from that murder charge.
