Shemar Castillo is Granted Supreme Court Bail

Shemar Castillo

In mid-March, four residents of Sunset Park were charged and arraigned for attempted burglary and aggravated assault at the home of a police officer as well as another resident of the Mile Eight Community.  Shemar Castillo is the last of the four accused men to be granted bail. The crown withdrew its objection this morning and Justice Colin Williams granted bail in the sum of seven thousand dollars plus two sureties of three thousand dollars and imposed certain conditions. Castillo was placed on curfew at night and must report to the Mile Eight police station every Monday beginning next week.  He is also not to contact any of the victims and witnesses and must attend all court dates. Castillo was also ordered not to leave the jurisdiction without the permission of a judge of the Supreme Court. Castillo, along with Stanley Flowers, an ex-B.D.F., Deon Baltazar, and Whitfield Fisher were all charged for the attempted burglary of the house of police officer, Jacinto Roches as well as at the house of Denise Smith. The four will return to court in May.
