Lloyden Bejerano is Murdered inside His House in the Oscar Sabido Area

Lloyden Bejerano

A man was shot and killed inside his house in San Ignacio; he is one of two murder victims in the west.  Twenty-nine-year-old Lloyden Bejerano was gunned down inside his house. A female friend of his found his body on Monday night when she went looking for him at his house in the Oscar Sabido area. While it is not known if Bejerano was in any trouble, there is speculation that his murder may be drug related. Police told News Five’s Duane Moody that they could not at this time confirm that theory.

The Oscar Sabido area of San Ignacio is considered a relatively quiet neighbourhood out west. But on Monday night after eleven o’clock, several shots rang out from inside this bungalow house. Twenty-nine-year-old Lloyden Bejerano, who has been renting the house for the past six months, was shot dead and was found motionless sitting on a sofa.

Voice of: Resident

“I was up 11:30 last night and I saw a cycle in the yard, three men unidentified ran into the house. They were friends with him. They just went inside and they talked to him and after that we only heard four gunshots and that was it. We didn’t see where they came from, where they ran out from, they just went. They didn’t stay around much. Few minutes after, the police came and they were around searching the premises.”

Today, the house door was discovered open as scenes of crime personnel had processed the area looking for clues. Even as police await a post-mortem to certify how many times Bejerano was shot, they confirmed that his body was discovered by a female friend, who has since provided a statement to investigators.

“Jessica Harris, twenty-one-years bartender of a Shawville area address in San Ignacio reported that around eleven-twenty p.m. that night, she arrived at Bejerano’s home; she found the door open, she entered and made the discovery. The scene was processed; the body was transported to the San Ignacio Hospital where it was pronounced dead.”

While residents say that Bejerano was not a troublemaker, he has had run-ins with the law.  There is speculation that his murder is drug related, but police would not confirm the motive.
