Second Victim in 8 Mile Accident Succumbs

Walter Loyo

Last week, we reported on the death of seven persons as a result of vehicular collisions; four were motorcyclists. Tonight, we can report that another person has perished as a result of a motorcycle accident. Walter Loyo died early this morning at the K.H.M.H. where he had been receiving treatment since March twenty-fourth. The twenty-eight-year-old bartender was travelling with his girlfriend, Zinnia Ayala on a motorbike when he lost control and collided into a concrete barrier near mile eight on the George Price Highway. The impact flung twenty-year-old Ayala several feet away to her death; Loyo, who wore a helmet, was badly injured and succumbed a week later Assistant Superintendent Alejandro Cowo gave the media an update.

“An update reference the fatal traffic accident last week where a female had passed away on the spot and Walter Loyo was admitted. As a result, he succumbed to his injuries this morning and was pronounced dead sometime after nine in the morning.”
